Job Summary:
Responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of light to heavy trucks (4, 6, and 10-wheeler units) to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues in trucks.
Conduct preventive maintenance (oil change, brake checks, tire rotation, etc.).
Perform engine repairs, transmission servicing, clutch, suspension, and steering system repairs.
Check and repair truck electrical wiring, battery, and lighting systems.
Test drive vehicles to confirm repairs and performance.
Maintain service records and parts usage logs.
Ensure proper use of tools and safe work practices in the workshop.
Coordinate with the fleet manager for repair schedules and urgent breakdowns.
Assist in ordering and inventory of spare parts.
