TRUCK DRIVER - MECHANIC
 
JOB SUMMARY
 
The Truck Driver-Mechanic is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of company trucks and for performing routine mechanical inspections, minor repairs, and preventive maintenance. The role ensures that vehicles are in optimal working condition, supports transport operations, and assists in diagnosing issues to prevent breakdowns and delays.
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
Ensure that the vehicles are constantly kept perfect and clean.
Inspect the vehicles and perform basic support in performing changing the oil, refueling, changing tires, and repairing minor issues.
Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts, etc.).
Recognize mechanical and electrical defects of the vehicle and report to the Admin/Operation Supervisor and General Manager to make arrangements for the repair of mechanical and minor electrical defects.
Maintain vehicle equipment and tools in good condition.
Make sure that the delivery will be accurate and the clients received it in good order and sign for it.
Ensure the safety of men and products while loading, in transit, or offloading.
Any other job designated by the Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be a College Level/Graduate
At least two (2) years of working experience as a Truck Driver-Mechanic or similar role.
TESDA NC II (Driving) is an advantage but not required.
Must hold a valid Professional Driver's License (Restriction Codes 2, 3, or appropriate equivalent).
Clean driving record with no major violations.
Strong driving skills and knowledge of defensive driving.
Basic to intermediate mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Ability to identify mechanical issues early and recommend corrective action.
Ability to use basic tools and equipment for repairs.
Knowledge of preventive maintenance schedules.
Can read vehicle manuals, logbooks, and delivery documents.
Physically fit for long drives and mechanical work.
Punctual, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
