MERCEDES-BENZ GROUP SERVICES PHILS., INC. is currently looking for a TREASURY ACCOUNTANT
 
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Prepares monthly and annual Financial Statements for group closing in accordance with IFRS relating to financial transactions for Mercedes-Benz AG, Mercedes-Benz Group AG, and other foreign group companies (original and derivative financial instruments)
• Prepares individual Financial Statements of Mercedes-Benz AG, Mercedes-Benz Group AG (HGB) and selected other foreign group companies (IFRS)
• Handles the ongoing accounting of derivatives (open and within hedge accounting)
• Analyses the balance sheet and P&L items, and prepares the disclosure notes as part of external reporting
• Performs ad-hoc evaluations and analysis
• Advises and supports large companies and business units (in particular treasury) on complex accounting, methodological and procedural issues (e.g. regulatory changes, impact of purchasing contracts, embedded derivatives), and safeguards the group-wide standardized valuation
• Prepares and implements accounting compliance reviews
• Serves as the contact person for internal and external auditors
• Works on process optimization / further development of existing methods, procedures, and processes
•Leads the participation in (sub-)projects within the area of responsibility
• Supports projects in cross-functions, projects with issues in accounting and treasury (international), regulatory changes, and further developments in the financial market and treasury IT system (ION Wallstreet Suite)
• Reviews and initiates billing-related processes
 
 
Must-have...
• Degree in Business Administration or comparable education
• Relevant professional experience in the financial sector of an industrial company or a bank
• In-depth knowledge of accounting in accordance with IFRS and HGB, in particular IFRS for financial instruments (IFRS 9, IAS 39)
• Good knowledge of the standard software MS-Office as well as the software systems of the accounting system
• Project experience and knowledge of project management
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, determination and flexibility, ability to work independently, service-oriented
• Good language skills in English
 
 
Nice-to have...
• System knowledge of Wallstreet Suite (ION) highly desirable
• German language proficiency
