Job Description
Job Purpose:
The Distribution Transformation Manager is responsible for leading change and innovation within Retail
Distribution. He/she works with internal stakeholders to lead, manage, and implement new projects, processes,
and technologies (i.e., phygital) that will positively impact the Channel's business by improving the performance,
competitiveness, and satisfaction of distributors.
The Distribution Transformation Manager is involved at every stage of transformation - from strategy
development, planning & scoping, project & resource management, execution/implementation, and integration.
He/she works with cross-functional teams to design, build, deliver, and monitor new systems, processes, and
strategies that will support RD's growth. He/she is tasked with identifying opportunities for improvement,
planning the best approach for implementing change, and managing the people who will make it happen.
The Distribution Transformation Manager leads and manages the delivery and adoption of Phygital tools,
systems, and services that will improve the distributors experience. This includes the development of a new
app, website, platform, or software that supports RD's channels & campaigns, and the Distribution
Transformation Roadmap. He/she ensures that the development & delivery of these tools is on time, in full,
within budget, compliant with industry regulations and best practices, and according to agreed standards with
the stakeholders.
Specific to his/her assigned projects, the Distribution Transformation Manager is responsible for creating and
sustaining a transformation culture within Retail Distribution. He/she needs to be able to manage teams and
communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization. By promoting open communications and
encouraging team members to work together, the Distribution Transformation Manager helps to ensure that RD
is prepared for the future.
The Distribution Transformation Manager reports to the Distribution Transformation Director
Key Responsibilities
1. Identifies gaps and opportunities for transformation (e.g., cultural, business process, phygital) in Retail
Distribution and recommends strategies and actions to address them
2. Develops business cases for transformation projects and secures the approval of resources from
stakeholders (i.e., Project Sponsor, Steering Committee, DLT/ELT)
3. Manages transformation projects from beginning to end, including the development of project tasks and
timelines, allocating resources, managing project teams, and ensuring that deadlines are met
4. Coordinates with T&T and cross-functional teams (e.g., Ops, Marketing, Channels) and other stakeholders
to design and develop phygital assets and ensure that distributors adopt and use these assets
5. Monitors the progress of transformation projects and ensures that all project status reports/related
documents are prepared, maintained throughout the project lifecycle, and uploaded in SharePoint
6. Evaluates the performance of transformation projects and determines if the results successfully meet the
defined project objectives, targets, and goals
7. Works with the Change Management & Communications Manager and cross-functional teams (e.g., T&T,
DL&D, Channels) to design training plans to ensure that RD and other stakeholders use the new tools,
processes, or systems properly and effectively
8. Works with the Change Management & Communications Manager and cross-functional teams (e.g., DST,
Channels) to design communication plans to inform Retail Distribution teams, business partners, and other
stakeholders about changes in tools, systems, processes, or procedures
9. Identifies potential risks that may arise during the transformation project management process and
develops mitigation plans with stakeholders to address these risks
10. Creates a culture of transformation and innovation within RD by encouraging team members to think
outside the box and embrace new projects, processes, and technologies
Your Profile
. Education: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in business administration, management, information
technology, or a related field. A master's degree in business administration (MBA) is a plus!
. Training & Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a related role or in a similar setting. Deep
understanding of insurance sales & marketing, operations, and distribution channels. Preferably with
project management experience.
. Business Analysis: The Distribution Transformation Manager understands the current state of Retail
Distribution and its market. He/she assesses RD's operations, identifies areas for improvement, and
develops strategies to achieve these improvements. He/she knows Division's objectives & goals and helps
RD grow and develop to achieve these objectives & goals.
. Change Management: The Distribution Transformation Manager uses his/her change management skills
to implement new strategies and processes. He/she utilizes these skills to help the Division adjust to
changes from Transformation initiatives.
. Communication: The Distribution Transformation Manager communicates with Retail Distribution,
business partners, and other stakeholders about the Transformation goals and the progress made toward
achieving them. He/she builds trust and maintains positive relationships with others.
. Leadership: The Distribution Transformation Manager motivates the functional teams and encourages
them to work together to achieve the Transformation goals and support RD's transformation.
. Project Management: The Distribution Transformation Manager oversees several projects at once. He/she
use project management software to track the status of projects and the progress of teams. He/she uses
project management skills to create schedules for teams and to delegate tasks.
