Job Summary: We seek a highly detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Transaction Monitoring Analyst. The successful candidate will be critical in safeguarding our organization against financial crime by monitoring and analyzing transactions for potential suspicious activity. The Transaction Monitoring Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to developing and enhancing our transaction monitoring processes.
Responsibilities:
Review alerts generated by the transaction monitoring system and conduct thorough investigations to determine the legitimacy of flagged transactions.
Perform comprehensive background investigations using public and private databases, adhering to AML and other regulatory standards, to mitigate operational and reputational risks.
Consolidate data from multiple sources and analyze it accurately and efficiently.
Create and maintain precise records of all investigations, including details regarding the rationale for any decisions made.
Prepare and file reports and SARs for the Transaction Monitoring team.
Collaborate with other departments to obtain additional information and documentation necessary for investigations.
Contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of the Transaction Monitoring System by identifying weaknesses and proposing improvement measures.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in transaction monitoring, financial crime detection, or related roles.
Proficient in English.
Strong understanding of anti-money laundering (AML) regulations and compliance requirements.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and identify patterns.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
Possession of relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS) is a plus.
