Job Overview:
 
The Training & Development Officer (TDO) is primarily responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and supporting employee learning, development, and performance growth initiatives within the Velez Group. While the immediate heads or managers are directly responsible for managing their employees' learning and performance development, the TDO acts as a central coordinator, ensuring that initiatives such as competency assessments, training programs, employee development plan (IDPs), coaching sessions, and performance improvement interventions (PIPs) are properly implemented, tracked, and documented.
 
For Cebu Velez General Hospital, Velez College, and Cebu Institute of Medicine, the TDO's role is limited to coordination, ensuring their training and development activities are aligned with organizational standards, consolidating their reports, and providing management with a comprehensive view of training and performance development progress across all entities.
 
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:
Strong facilitation, presentation, and public speaking skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and training methodologies.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with e-learning platforms is a plus.
Strong organizational and project management skills.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration - HRDM, Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in training and development or related HR functions.
