About the role
The Test Process Engineer is responsible for a cluster of equipment under the Backend or Final Test area. On certain areas, they are also responsible to lead and supervise equipment technicians responsible for doing Test process related work. Primary objective of Process Engineer is to ensure products goes through documented process, achieve highest quality, meet target entitlement, drive test process improvements, qualify test process capabilities of new machined or capabilities in his/her responsible area.
What you will do
Qualification of new machine AOI (marking inspection, leads inspection, in-pocket inspection and Post Seal Inspection)
Qualification of new metrology machine used for Final Test (i.e. PBFT)
Documentation of new work flows and revision to documents (i.e. Test FMEA, Control Plan, Work I)
Primary lead in resolution of Test related (non-electrical) customer complaints interfacing with cross functional teams
Drive improvements projects related to Test Process for cost, quality and productivity
Primary lead in investigation of escalated line issues, OQA hits and internal OCAP
Owner of yield improvement and monitoring for visual mechanical fallouts
Drive standardization across site and also participate in benchmarking and standardization between AT sites
Point person for Test Process on Customer Audits and internal Line Audits
Responsible for firewall fan out related to Test Process (i.e. additional AOI, manual VI at Test, etc)
Responsible for periodic MSA and calibration of inspection equipment at Final Test
On certain cases, can be responsible for supervising Test process technicians
Primary responsible in keeping parameter control related to AOI on all Final Test equipment
Collaborates with Equipment Engineers for PO spec creation of Final Test machines
Ensures no test process related customer complaint
Supports closure of audit findings related to test process
Promotes and ensures zero safety incidence
Support production output numbers through efficient test process flows
Conducts trainings and fan outs of best practices to test process technicians
Develops training program and skills development for test process technicians
Supports machine set up and installation in support of Ramp or Obsolescence
Creates Work Instruction for new machines together with Equipment Engineering
Could conduct buy-off of new equipment at Supplier side
Other Test Process related work that may be assigned
What you will need
BS Engineering Graduate (Electrical, ECE, Industrial, Manufacturing)
With at least 5 years related experience in semiconductor industry
Proficient in electro-pneumatics, mechanical, electronics
Proficient in using statistical tools (Minitab, Statistics, Exensio, SpotFire, etc)
Team player, ability to work in a fast-paced environment and with cross-functional teams
Effective communicator between various levels of the organization
Good communication and reporting skills
Deep electronics, pneumatics, and mechanical fundamentals
Project management skills
People handling skills
Leadership skills
