TELESALES CLERK
 
Functions
Contacts businesses and private individuals by telephone to promote products, services.
Explains product or service to potential customers
Delivers standard sales pitch to the customer
Adjusts standard sales pitch to meet needs of specific individuals
Provides pricing details (upon approval of Branch Manager)
Handles customer questions/inquiries
Obtains and updates customer information for database including names and addresses and frequently ordered product/items
Receives orders over the phone and does the processing of orders
Records customer details and details of transaction
Confirms orders placed with field sales representatives
Obtains contact details of potential customers from sources including telephone directories and purchased lists
Schedules appointments for sales agents to meet prospective customers
Feedbacks customers of their unserved orders/requests
Conducts customer and marketing surveys
Follow up potential customers
Does Account Reconciliation
Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s/College Degree (any course)
Required skill(s): relevant experience in sales, marketing, promotions or telemarketing
Has excellent communication skills
Product knowledge
Proficiency in relevant computer applications
