Technical Lead

AirAsia Software Engineering Team (AASET) is a technology centre that design and create custom-built solutions for the group's airline and digital businesses. It is a global initiative to drive its digital transformation.
The technology centre comprises of a team of software engineering and technology experts based in RedQ and Bangalore, who would work to streamline the airlines digital assets such as its website and mobile app along with creating and implementing new products and enhancements such as the new artificial intelligence (AI)-powered chatbot, among others, for a seamless journey.

Responsibilities:
Experience in architecting and developing applications in Java and related technologies
Strong hands on experience with Java 8 & above, Restful WebServices, Spring, Springboot, Docker, Kubernetes, API and Micro Services
Understand the J2EE web application architecture, code rewrite of back end APIs alone
Peer review the code, design, test automation, etc.,
The candidate will be leading a team of developers, testers, mentoring and coaching team on technical activities.
Responsible for managing high performance team of individuals to provide high quality delivery and support
Proven experience in stakeholder management, well-versed working in onsite and offshore model
Thorough understanding of requirements and business knowledge
Ability to communicate with client effectively and directly
Follow industry best practices while coding and unit testing.
Stay updated with current technologies and coding methodologies.
Working with the front end developers to build the interface with focus on usability features
Should be a solution provider (provide end to end solution)
Should appreciate the Agile methodology
Should be competent to manage working in tight schedules
Lead the team from the front, be the go to person for technical solutions
Required Experience:
Any Graduates (BSc/BCA/BE/BTech) or Post Graduates (MCA/Msc/MCM/MTech) or MBA
6+ years of experience working on Java/J2ee technologies and architecture like Microservices using Spring Boot & MVC design patterns
Good Experience in Core Java, J2EE and Spring Framework
Good experience in one database like oracle, MySql etc.
Good Experience with any one of the Source controls like SVN, Git
Good Experience in Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins/Gitlab
Should have experience in Junit/TestNG and Mocking frameworks like JMockit
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
Experience in setting up application servers, troubleshooting skills required
Should be self-motivated and Smart working
Should be willing to learn any new technology
Bonus Points:
Proficiency in any of these technology domains: Travel, Fintech, Security
DEVOPS knowledge
Security concepts ( SSL, TLS, HTTPS)
Good Analytical, Communication and interpersonal skills are mandatory.

Qualifications and Competencies:
BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of related software engineering experience.
Must be comfortable coding in at least one of the following: NodeJS, Java,, Python
Strong knowledge in Software Development Life Cycle Experience designing and deploying dynamically scalable, highly available, fault tolerant, and reliable applications.
Have experience in CI/CD tools (Gitlab Pipelines, Travis)
Strong Design knowledge, using S.O.L.I.D principles Have deep experience in building application on top of one of 3 clouds such as (GCP, AWS, Azure)
