Job Description:
 
Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic’s job entails assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining industrial, commercial, and residential refrigeration and air-conditioning systems, including combined heating, ventilation, and cooling systems. He/She also conducts service and repair to ensure that these systems are in good condition and fully-functional.
 
Duties and Responsibilities:
Installs, troubleshoots, and overhauls entire heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
Works with hand and power tools to install refrigeration or air-conditioning components
Performs routine maintenance
Checks, diagnoses, and evaluates if there are faults in the system that need to be fixed and coordinate them to his/her supervisor
Repairs and replaces defective components for entire heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
Records causes of malfunction and action taken
Performs other functions and responsibilities as may be assigned by supervisor or Company Owner
Sound knowledge of:
Refrigeration (incl. multiplexed Freon) and Air Conditioning systems.
Electrical wiring and control circuits.
Electronic controls.
Understanding electrical wiring diagrams.
Qualifications:
Took courses related to Refrigeration and Air-conditioning
Trade Tested and Qualified Refrigeration Technician OR minimum of 3 years ‘experience as a Technician/Mechanic in a refrigeration environment.
Familiar with Dixell and Carel Controllers
Able to work with hand and power tools
Able to multitask (flexible) and Work under pressure.
Can work with less supervision, Strong team player who is hands on and able to work unassisted.
Must know how to drive 2 wheels and 4 wheels vehicle,
Must have driver license
Good communication skills
Possess analytical and problem-solving skills
Fault finding and problem solving independently.
Fault finding and problem solving independently.
Prepared to work overtime.
