OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
To provide technical support & expertise for the Admixture Systems business, with frequent interaction with sales teams and external parties such as customers, contractors, consultants and distributors.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Technical Support
To provide expertise in technical support to sales team and customers; both pre-sales & post sales business. Provide advice on product suitability and its application
Act as a technical support provider, trouble-shooter and technical consultant to handle customer complaints including site visits, follow up as well as prepare investigation report
Carry out and ensure activities such as material preparation, trial mix, product demo, testings etc are in accordance to standard/in-house procedures in order to maintain a high level of reliability and quality in the laboratory as well as at site
Prepare and maintain record of in-house & external test data to ensure traceability of all testing information
Analyse test results and report findings as well as put forward recommendations and/or next steps
Ensure any abnormal test results are reported; investigate and recommend improvement ways.
Product Application & Development
To provide technical guidance/assistance to customers for product application, troubleshooting through engaging salesperson, customers and carry out lab test to share and enhance customer product knowledge
Support business by providing technical guidance/assistance to customer for product applications, including mix design optimization and troubleshooting to enhance pre and post sales service
Propose and issue mix designs according to customer and performance requirements
Responsible for the accurate preparation of samples according to product formulation, to cater for laboratory evaluation as well as upon customer requests.
Support team members in product development & production optimization exercise to meet customer & market requirements
Others
Ensure safe practices are followed at all times
Ensure that lab tools & equipment used are clean and well maintained after use. Also to maintain cleanliness of laboratory after each trial or testing activity
Maintain confidentiality of information eg BOM, PMR and raw materials
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Minimum 3 years in a laboratory environment dealing with concrete testing and admixture formulation
At least 3 years in a technical support role related to the concrete industry
Knowledge in cement, concrete and formulation of admixture technology
