*The Technical Writer is allowed to work from home. Once the pandemic situation is better, the Technical Writer may be required to report in our IT Park office in Cebu.
Office Location: 8F Skyrise 4B, Cebu IT Park, W Geonzon St, Cebu City
General Description: The Technical Writer is responsible for preparing instruction manuals and articles with the main goal to communicate complex, technical information more easily. The Technical Writer also develops, gathers, and disseminates technical information among clients and designers.
Holidays: All national Philippines and USA holidays are observed.
Monthly Salary (not including bonuses): 16,000 - 19,000 PHP
Responsibilities:
Researches available product information; coordinates with subject-matter experts.
Tests the technical features of various software and determine the best user-friendly instructions to use.
Writes user guides, release notes, training manuals, scripts, newsletter articles, slide presentations, and other related internal documents.
Ensures that a document's final draft complies with established guidelines, specifications, and deadlines.
Applies appropriate levels of editorial treatment to existing documents.
Meet deadlines accordingly.
Requirements:
A graduate of any BA or BS program, preferablyComputer Science/Information Technology, Communication/Language-related courses, Education, or equivalent
With or without work experience
Strong technical writing skills
Strong PC skills and expertise in MS Office applications, G Suite Tools, and screen capture tools
Highly competent in writing in American English; Fluent in spoken American English
Comfortable with and able to understand technical information
Ability to work independently and within a team
Willing to work during holidays and weekends
Willing to work in either our Cebu IT Park or JY office.
