Description
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Serves as the primary contact for all incoming calls and email requests for technical support
-Responds to customer inquiries and assists in troubleshooting and resolving challenges
-Handles customer technical support cases through phone and email submission
-Maintains information confidential to ensure continued client confidence
-Trains end-users on hardware functionality and software programs
-Resolves logged errors in a timely manner
-Main resource during infrastructure emergencies utilizing prioritization and escalation skills to ensure timely resolution of issues.
-Conducts preventive maintenance including but not limited to cleaning of computer equipment, testing, and troubleshooting
-Accomplishes various requests from PC users.
-Provides first level support for IT units, in-house and business applications.
-Documents, tracks, and monitors problems and outages using database management software, contributing vital knowledge-base data for statistical study and solutions development
-Performs installation and configuration of new or newly assigned computers prior to turnover to users to ensure no computer downtime.
-Installs operating systems, email programs and application packages in accordance with software license agreements.
-Continuously installs version updates or patches to ensure software reliability.
-Conducts user training after installation of new software.
-Carries out maintenance activities according to plan and schedule to ensure 24/7 availability and reliability.
-Provides in depth network infrastructure diagnosis and problem resolution including design, installation, configuration, testing and enhancements of networks and systems.
-Troubleshoots and resolves problems related to network connections, and standard or approved hardware and software; documents work performed and the technical environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
-Knowledge of the following internet architecture: A) DNS, B) WHOIS C) Domains registration D) Website hosting
-Has a positive approach and ability to empathize
-Strong IT technical skills specifically in operating systems, desktop deployment, system administration, and/or technical architecture
-Ability to learn quickly
-Comfortable with developing deliverables using MS Office products such as Word, Powerpoint, Excel, and Visio
-Excellent communications and interpersonal skills, including ability to interact and communicate with all levels of personnel internally. An emphasis on customer satisfaction and the ability to remain calm under pressure
-Quality in Information Technology (A+, N+ and MSCA or higher) preferred but not essential
-Cybersecurity experience is a plus but not a requirement
