Description
The Technical Support Engineer is the primary technical contact of customers responsible for providing engineering firms, electrical contractors, electrical distributors and field sales with support regarding technical aspects of the Electrical & Lighting product line and assisting our sales channels with product questions, applications, suitability for use, installation technique and applicable electrical codes and manufacturing standards evaluation.
Responsibilities
-Product Trouble Shooting
- Returned/Replacement of Products - Gathers preliminary information on warranty claim and goodwill request.
- Product & Application Information Support
- Product Model Configuration
- Documentation/Management Controls
- Handles call from Technical Support ACD
- Monitors and responds to incoming inquiries (calls, emails, chat)
- Customer Transaction Management
- Continuous Improvement
- Identifies continuous Improvement project ideas
Additional Information Requirements
- Graduate of any Engineering Degree (preferably Electrical Engineer)
- 1-year experience in Electrical Engineering field
- Understand the basic infomration about electrical
- Knowledge about basic installations and applications of wiring and other electrical products
- Knowledge of construction techniques, buidling codes etc.
- Knowledge of hazardous locations and markets
- Installations and applications of wiring and other related products
- Accuracy and attention to details
- Well organized and able to multi-task
- Ability to work under minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Team player
- Good communication skills
