JOB DESCRIPTION
The A/V Technical Services Manager is responsible for assisting the Technical Services team in providing technology leadership and management of audio visual systems and services to include technology solutions provided to users, staff, clients and customers of Managed Facilities. This includes assisting the management of strategic and tactical activities to ensure satisfaction, technical delivery, contract compliance and resource management.
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate and supervise the repair and maintenance of Epson, NEC, Meyer, Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer and digital signage system, LED video walls with contracted vendors.
Coordinate and supervise all audio, video, CATV and production control room equipment and related hardware / software ensuring maintenance according to factory specifications or industry standards through staff or sub-contractors.
Coordinate audio-visual requirements and services with event management staff, clients and tenants for in-house events, stage setups and television broadcasts.
Coordinate and supervise installation, maintenance and repair of all audio-visual equipment and cabling infrastructure (to include labeling and identifying use)
Provide necessary information for the proper purchase of preventative & corrective maintenance and capital purchases of systems.
Monitor system efficiencies and recommend appropriate solutions.
Provide event related maintenance, services and support.
Review, perform and maintain regular department work orders and equipment
Conduct regular inspections of work spaces to ensure proper housekeeping, safety and compliance exists for the protection of health, safety and rights of employees and the public.
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum of an Associates' degree or any business related courses
3-5 years of experience in the field of AV and production control room technologies; or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related industry
Preferably with 2 to 3 years' experience in managerial position
With strong experience in understanding CATV solutions, broadcast electronics and A/V and production control room systems, equipment and related infrastructure
Expert in Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Projectors (NEC, EPSON), Speakers (MEYER, Community), AV Systems, Lightings (Moving Heads, LED Par, etc)
Has proficient decision-making and time management skills. Strong leadership abilities. Maintains current knowledge in use and trends of technology.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills. Adaptable, open to change, creative in problem resolution, and innovative in generating solutions.
Able to give and receive feedback at all levels of the organization. Strong coaching, empathizing, and empowerment abilities.
Able to take initiative and responsibility for projects and promote teamwork and collaboration between staff.
Willing to do field work
