QUALIFICATIONS:
- Engineering Graduate (related field)
- With at least 1-year experience in an Electronics industry
- Knowledgeable in Material Sourcing
- With interpersonal skills, fast learner and can work within a team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Prepares and processes various forms related to purchasing requirements, involving direct materials localization process, material specifications through transferring of customer drawings and requirements, suppliers approved drawings, technical and quality define materials specifications into technical product drawings, and needed materials to be used for complete assembly and qualification of materials.
* Negotiate, review supplier's quotation, terms and conditions and recommend for the chosen suppliers.
* Coordinates with concerned requestors regarding materials requirements and supplier delivery confirmation to ensure smooth processing and qualification of the materials.
* Assist to both local and import activities in order to speed up the outsourcing and canvassing of the requested materials.
* Ensure that direct materials being localized by the company, should have at least 1 alternative supplier.
* Coordinates with other department/requestors as the status of their requested items.
* Ensure that all relevant documents used by the purchasing such as Approved Vendor, Price List and Materials List are updated according to the requirements, and all purchasing reports such as PO Monitoring both local and import, RFQ, etc. are updated and correct.
* Coordinate with immediate superior and manager in case encountered changes in terms of price, incoterms, lead time, minimum order quantity, special packaging, etc.
* Monitor performance of the local suppliers in terms of quality, price, response and delivery requirements and services.
* Receives RFQ related to new product development and/or new materials.
* Responsible, conducts canvassing for all assigned items listed in PRCS form and RFQ sheet., outsourcing, gathering information about the new materials requested and gives an alternative options as necessary. Make inquiries from various suppliers and check the availability of the items being inquired/needed.
* Oversees the progress (from the IQC up to the complete assembly) and prepares report of material qualification to be submitted to the Business Support Head and customer. Coordinates and spearhead meeting with involved departments in case there's a problem during evaluation of materials.
