Mission:
Coordinate the engineering activities to meet company technical objectives, as a contractor point of view. Supporting to deliver a successful project on time, on budget, within company requirements and client obligations from a technical point of view insafety, health, environment and quality.
Administrate information and the technical documentation to the third parties working on theproject to ensure that the work complies with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, design instructions and giving suppor to the production activities.
Responsibilities and Functions
Prepare, review, evaluate and internally approve the deliverables of relevant materials, work procedures, shop drawings, repair procedures, start-up procedures and records, maintenance manuals, etc.
Oversees and ensures that the work of the surveying team meets the needs of the Project.
Coordinate and define the design of all temporary and auxiliary works during the construction stage. Coordinate with the construction team as needed.
Supports the Purchasing Department in the preparation of purchase packages: measurements, technical specifications, etc.
Produces all the technical procedures and ensures their implementation. It also supports the construction team in developing method statements.
Responsible for preparing and keeping updated all monthly quantities of the project.
Coordinate with quantity surveyors or payment appreciations and change orders if needed
Responsible for filing the master of work modifications (red marks) for the preparation of the "as built" drawings.
Coordinates with the Designer as needed.
Manages the technical changes produced on site during construction.
Coordinates and help in the production of project closing documentation.Coordinate the risk management and technical opportunities during construction.
Assist to ensure the quality design management plan during construction stage.
Coordinates and reviewapprovals, requests, technical issues on site and NCR/RFI issues with designer.
Attend progress meetings, discuss and suggest technical proposals
Assist to Follow-up with subcontractors during technical negotiations
Maintaining organized and detailed technical project records
Administrate the technical documentation. Lead the Engineering integrated report.
Support to the technical manager in decision-making and any other needs.
Liaise between the construction and engineering teams ensuring the harmony between engineering team requirements and construction team deliverables.
Requisitos del candidato
The applicant must be familiar with the following topics from both perspectives, design and construction:
Earthworks - Basement excavation, trench excavation, earth lateral support for underground space, earthwork re-profiling for site formation at hill site involving stability of ground with different levels and gradients, settlement of fill, retaining structures
Foundations - Any means of geotechnical treatment (piling, ground improvements, buoyancy effect) intended to counter support the structure on land or underground, off-shore under individual or combined loading actions (gravitational or imposed loadings from external factors or environmental forces) to ensure its stability
Soil-Structure Interaction - The interaction effect between the ground and any structural element(s) with expected design loadings or environmental forces in contact with natural earth materials (soils or rocks), manmade materials, groundwater having impact to the performance of structural elements partially or entirely, usually affecting either or both the ultimate and serviceability limit state conditions of the structures or supporting ground.
Time dependent behaviour of the ground response or/and ground disturbance of external sources relevant to the potential distress of structures. (soil consolidation, creep deformation, fill compression, densification, liquefaction, sink holes)
Groundwater related problems - Drawdown and seepage in underground excavation, fluid containment, soil liquefaction, well yield or recharge problems
Balanced Cantilever structures. This method refers to a construction methodology that completes the superstructure of the bridge by sequentially joining the segments to form a span by post-tensioning and balancing them left and right from each pier using special erection equipment.
Qualifications:
Engineering degree.
10+ years construction related experience
3+ years' experience working experience on cable stay bridges or steel bridges as a Technical office Chief/Manager.
Experience working in a multi-national environment is a plus.
