Job Purpose:
Concisely articulate the rationale for this role's existence and its contribution to the overall mission and goal of the organization.
To assist Technical Superintendents in the seamless and efficient monitoring of Shippalm, offering proactive advice on overdue items, and promptly addressing issues raised by TSIs. Additionally, providing support to vessels in resolving discrepancies within Shippalm reports.
Key Result Areas (KRAs):
1. Addressing Shippalm ship shore application issues within the stipulated timeframe.
2. Ensuring the vessel's Shippalm status remains updated with jobs, defects, noon reports, etc.
3. Uploading Shippalm data, encompassing Lube reports, noon reports, VIR, Vessel Particulars, etc.
4. Orienting new Fleet TSIs on Shippalm basics.
5. Delivering timely support to vessels for Shippalm application guidance.
6. Auditing work in Shippalm, maintaining defect reports, certificates, lube oil reports, PMS jobs, Critical Spares.
Critical Tasks:
Enumerate tasks and activities necessary for accomplishing the outlined KRAs.
Associated Key Activities:
- Verifying ship and shore communication status in ShipPalm.
- Ensuring corrective actions for defects are completed within the target date.
- Circulating weekly PMS status/Defect reports to TSIs and Fleet Manager.
- Coordinating with the backend team to address issues beyond individual limits.
- Resolving issues remotely via mail and mobile when necessary.
- Familiarizing Superintendents with Shippalm.
- Managing the collection and updating of Critical Equipment/Spares details in Shippalm.
- Participating in meetings to discuss bugs/errors with the AO team.
- Coordinating with Technical Superintendents and Fleet Managers to check/close daily tasks in Shippalm.
- Updating Shippalm with spares/critical components for new takeover vessels.
Decision Making Authority:
1) Modifying PMS jobs based on vessel requests with confirmation from Concern TSI.
2) Rectifying and adjusting Noon Report ROB in Shippalm.
