TECH LEAD (SOFTWARE DEVELOPER)
 
Location: Cebu, Remote or Hybrid in the Philippines
 
Job Summary:
 
The client seeks a highly skilled Technical Lead to join the team and play a critical role in the development and delivery of innovative money transfer solutions. As a Technical Lead, you will lead a team of technical professionals to design, develop, deploy and maintain software solutions that meet the business requirements. This is a permanent role office in Cebu, Philippines reporting to the Chief Technology Officer.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a team of technical professionals to deliver high-quality software products for the client's customers
Design and implement technical strategies, architecture, and design for various software solutions
Collaborate with other teams, including project management, quality assurance, and product management, to ensure successful delivery of software
Identify and evaluate new technologies and techniques that can enhance the performance, scalability, and reliability of software products
Mentor and coach team members to improve their technical skills, knowledge, and expertise.
Review code and provide technical guidance to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
Participate in the hiring process and build a strong team of technical professionals
Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the client's technical ecosystem, including cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), mobile development (iOS, Android), backend (dotnet and NodeJS), and database systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field
5+ years of experience in software development and technical leadership roles, preferably in the fintech or money transfer industry
Strong technical skills in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP), mobile development (iOS, Android, React Native), backend (dotnet and NodeJS), database (SQL, NoSQL), Web framework (ReactJS) and architecture (microservices, serverless)
Experience with Agile software development methodologies
Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
Ability to mentor and coach team members to improve their technical skills, knowledge, and expertise
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
