The Role
Team Lead - Sourcing
The role of the Team Lead - Sourcing is to develop and deliver agreed recruitment services to the Client Services team. A key component of this role is to design and undertake innovative sourcing strategies to attract and talent pool candidates from within the marketplace in a cost-effective manner.
The Team Lead - Sourcing is also responsible for the direct reports of Principal - Sourcing, Specialists - Sourcing, and Coordinator - Sourcing, ensuring they are performing against set targets and providing support and information as requested. This is a key role that requires a responsive and client-facing individual.
Key Accountabilities
Assist the Client Services Manager (Sourcing) to develop the sourcing strategy for each role recruited and agree the strategy (including web-based and direct sourcing)
Interpret resourcing plans, define role requirements, allocate requisitions and develop innovative sourcing options including networking, headhunting and the use of accessing the external market using world class research tools (e.g. xing or Linked-In)
Building talent pools, work with the Client Services Manager (Sourcing) to identify areas where there are gaps within qualified candidate pools and where new candidates need to be identified
Maintain recruitment system accurately
Produce timely and accurate activity and management information reporting
Produce communications to a high standard (e.g. advertisements) and in accordance with the clients brand guidelines if required
Involvement in any relevant internal presentations and evaluation/review meetings with the Client Services team
Identify areas of process improvement and service enhancement and communicate these to the Client Services Manager (Sourcing) and the team (eg., Sourcing Specialists)
Maintain agreed service levels with the Client Services team and ensure they are aware of how performance is tracking against the required performance levels
Understands AMS people are a key market differentiator and is genuinely committed to the development of direct reports in accordance with the AMS charter
Deputise for the Client Services Manager (Sourcing) by coordinating daily delivery meetings and highlighting issues for escalation
Ensure the Client Services Manager (Sourcing) is constantly aware of any relevant issues
Hold an understanding of recruitment best practice tools and methodologies (e.g., sourcing techniques)
Undertake project work as required by the Client Services Manager (Sourcing)
Skills & Experience
Solid experience in a recruitment/sourcing environment.
Experience managing and leading a team, including performance and underperformance management.
Experience of managing client relationships.
Experience working to and achieving demanding targets, ratios and SLAs.
Experience using specialist techniques (i.e. Boolean searching, X-Ray searching etc) to source candidates through active and passive channels.
Experience in the use of recruitment technology and recruitment databases.
Experience producing management reports.
Thorough understanding of legislation affecting area of work (e.g. age discrimination).
Strong working knowledge of all Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Good written and spoken English language skills plus other languages as appropriate to the client-specific requirements.
Willing to work in the day, mid and night shift schedule.
