• Manage day to day operations of AP Team to ensure timely payments to suppliers that are in accordance with the company policies on Payables and PASAR's standard payment terms
• Regularly collaborate with the AP Team, Supply Chain, PO proponents, Tax & Treasury and other concerned areas to resolve issues noted in the process of payment to suppliers
• Meet and sustain at all times the 90-day age of payable balances as required by Glencore
• Manage supplier relations in terms of resolution of issues and completion of documentary and invoicing requirements
• Ensure thorough and stringent review of payables before payment in terms of validity, accuracy, completeness and accuracy of entries recorded in the Oracle AP Module
• Ensure that all payments are covered by a valid and approved PO as required by Glencore's no PO, no Payment Policy; and in case of non-PO payments, payments are properly assessed and approved by designated Company approver
• Ensure that payables processed are compliant with Philippine tax regulations on invoicing and withholding taxes
• Ensure stringent review of pertinent documents supporting payments such as bond requirements in case of down/advance payments and insurance requirements
• Ensure proper and accurate accrual of expenses at month end such for power, water and others that need manual recognition of month end accrual
• Ensure thorough review of month end financial reports on Payables and ensure timely submission within the timelines set by Glencore
• Regularly review of Payables process and reportorial requirements for continuous improvement through automation and simplification of process
• Regularly collaborate with other areas with flow on impact to the Payables process for continuous process improvement
