BASIC FUNCTION : Responsible for overseeing the marketing and operational activities of assigned team. Ensures productivity of assigned marketing unit through constant coordination with the BBG branches and /or units. Develops and implements team strategies in pursuing business development and in the implementation of processes and procedures in relation to client servicing, sales and collection operations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : A. Sales/Client Servicing 1. To entertain calls, requests for quotations, endorsements and policies and other inquiries, from clients, insurance companies, other Bank units 2. To visit BDO branches to discuss and implement sales strategies and satisfy client servicing requirements 3. To provide official progress reports to area/ team heads and region heads, and /or other BDO Units with regard to production results versus budget 4. To follow agreed broking procedures and /or specific work instructions in handling new business and renewals 5. To assist clients with Accounting or Claims concerns and to coordinate with respective units 6. To negotiate with insurance companies the most appropriate terms and conditions to suit the needs of the clients 7. To assess potential for organic growth of existing portfolio 8. To cross-sell other insurance products to increase production B. Account Administration 1. To monitor status of accounts in the pipeline and to prepare strategies to secure said accounts. 2. To review policies issued by insurance companies prior to sending out to clients 3. To ensure that policies and endorsements are issued and released to clients within prescribed turnaround time (TAT) 4. To assist in the monitoring and application of unapplied payments, booking or accounts, transmittal of SOAs and adjustments/cancellation of policies to BDO branches/units or clients C. Other Administrative Functions 1. To prepare the required documentation using the BDOI system such as renewal advice, quotation slip, proposal form, placement slip and covernote 2. To submit regular and required reportorial requirement of the team to Unit Head. 3. To perform other duties as may be assigned by immediate superior or senior management from time to time D.
