We are seeking for a Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to join our mortgage banking and private lending practice. Our business is a full service accounting firm providing assurance, tax and consulting services. We are looking for a self-motivated member to join our management team and our ever growing practice. This person will need to be strong in interacting closely with clients and provide them with a full spectrum of individual, partnership, corporate, estate and trust services and you will be working closely with the management team and staff on practice development, client management and business development.
This tax professional will be a problem solver, providing value to their clients through analyzing and interpreting tax policy, advising corporations on intricate tax matters while keeping up with changing complex tax compliances.
Requirements
· CPA license required
· 6-10 years of experience in public accounting focusing in taxation
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (Master degree in Taxation preferred)
· Experience with a wide variety of entity types including C and S corporations, partnerships and individuals
· Strong tax knowledge and the ability to be analytical, do research, critical thinking and decision making
· Experience with multi-state taxation, real estate funds, private equity funds or banking and financial institutions is a plus
· Strong leadership skills including the ability to mentor and develop professional staff
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Good project management and time management skills, well organized and detail-oriented
· Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively as a team member
· Ability to be flexible and work analytically in a problem-solving environment
