JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for determining organizational liabilities to tax authorities, in the review, supervision and oversight the staff that prepare the monthly, quarterly and annual tax preparation and filing, coordinates with the BIR for tax audits. Responsible also in research and development of tax strategies that will influence the decision of other financial managers, such as controller and chief finance officer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Local compliance (ensure timely and accurate tax filings, retention of books and records and other documentation). Initiate adjustments, corrections and /or further investigation of variences, if any.
Prepare tax exposure analysis by immediate superior.
Assists immediate superior in preparation of reports related to tax, as needed.
Coordination with tx authorities of dispute on any tax audit matter.
Compliance with the requirements of the regular tax audit.
Transfer pricing documentation requirements.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Prepare a sustainable tax planning strategy to be applied across all companies within the Group.
Interacts with various shared-service units communicating the company's tax strategy and ensures compliance with the same. Provide tax advice and support.
Assists in the preparation of tax disclosures for draft statutory accounts.
Review month end and quarterly closing journals for all taxes.
Manage relationship with local outside tax counsel.
Forecast budget for local business permit renewal every January 20.
Ensure timely preparation of special reports related to tax as requested by Management.
Develop and implement process flow to ensure client satisfaction promoting quality and accuracy.
Ensure updates adhering to tax regulations, new laws and development.
Prepare all tax letter.
Facilitate registration of accounting software for the Group
QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, CPA
Aleast 5 years work related experience in tax-related functions
IDEAL PERSON:
Preferably has atleast 2 years of leadership experience, excellent written and verbal English communication and interpersonal skills, excellent presentation skills, willing to work long hours, flexible and a team leader.
