JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for processing all tax related matters.
DUTIES and TASKS
Remittances and filing
· Files on or before due dates all government mandated reports due monthly e.g. EWT/wages and VAT. Checks and verifies corresponding rate used and accuracy of the computation and the completeness of supports. Oversees other government requirements needed such as real property taxes, renewal of business permit, VAT refund requirements, annual alpha listing and other requirements that may be ask from time to time.
Periodic / annual reconciliation
· Prepares periodic reconciliation of ITW at source payable vs. monthly remittance; input tax per book vs. monthly VAT return, creditable withholding tax per book vs. certificate, income and any discrepancies therein should be checked and adjusted on the corresponding books/reports.
3. Processes VAT Claims
· Extracts and collates all invoices and corresponding official receipts to support VAT claim filed; ensures that all documents are complete and intact; assist tax auditors if any
Prepares certificate of creditable tax withheld at source to all suppliers after every quarter.
Keeps the confidentiality of all government required reports.
Reports any abnormality or any matter that may affect the interest of the department or company.
Strictly observes SOPs, internal controls and company policies at all times.
Performs other tasks assigned by the superior from time to time.
