As a Tax Accountant, you will be partof a dynamic and energetic team and will play a hybrid role in running the tax planningand compliance activities of the company. Within the entity, you will
Ensure compliance with BIR tax filingrequirements by adhering to requirements; calculating estimated tax payments; advisingmanagement on required actions; assembling data for monthly and annual indirecttax and corporate income tax filings; and studying regulations.
Respond to financial and taxinquiries by gathering, analyzing, summarizing, and interpreting data.
Provide tax advice by studyingoperational issues; applying taxation principles and practices; developingrecommendations.
Work across departmental divisionsto determine the best processes are in place across the organization to ensuretax compliance
Update technical knowledge bykeeping current with tax regulations and accepted practices; participating ineducational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintainingpersonal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Accomplish finance andorganization mission by completing related results as needed.
Liaise with BIR, PEZA, BOC andother regulatory bodies and or government agencies to ensure consistentcompliance to all applicable rules/regulations.
Minimum requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance or any equivalent.
Atleast 5 years' experience working for a tax consulting firm is strongly preferred. Combination of tax consulting and industry experience, and an exposure to BIR audits is preferable.
Preferred qualifications:
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with business partners, management and regional teams
Hands-on and independent with strong analytical, planning, organizing and leadership skills
Passion for deep dive data analysis and translating that into insights and recommendations
Proactive, fast learner, curious, strong work ethics, self-motivated, seeks to improve processes, multi-tasking and performance driven
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
