Our brand, , a DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a reputable food service company in their search for an Accounting Assistant for Tax Compliance based in Davao City.Salary Range: ₱16,000 - ₱18,000Work Setup: OnsiteShift Schedule: Day ShiftLocation: Davao CityThe roleThe Tax Accountant is responsible for providing support in the accurate preparation, filing, and payment of taxes and other government compliance requirements. The role ensures that all statutory deadlines are met, records are properly maintained, and compliance with BIR and other government agencies is strictly observed. This position also assists in audits and helps safeguard the company from tax-related risks.Your Responsibilities:Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (e.g., VAT, Withholding Taxes, Expanded Withholding Taxes, Income Tax, etc.) through BIR e-filing and e-payment systems.Compute and reconcile tax liabilities to ensure accuracy and compliance with statutory deadlines.Maintain systematic and updated records of tax filings, schedules, and supporting documents.Assist in compliance with other government contributions and remittances (e.g., SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG).Provide support during audits and respond to queries from regulatory agencies as required.Coordinate with the accounting team to ensure proper documentation and timely submission of compliance reports.What we're looking for:Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, Finance, or a related field.At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting, taxation, or compliance.Familiarity with BIR processes, e-filing, and e-payment systems is an advantage.Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is preferred.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Ready to take the next step in your career?
