About the role
Seeking a suitably qualified, experienced, and reliable Tax Accountant to ensure timely compliance with all BIR tax reports of OGPI and effectively handle BIR tax audits, lead the VAT tax refund process, and provide guidance to the Commercial team and to the wider workforce on tax regulations and share best practices to minimize tax exposures. The role will be reporting to the Superintendent - Financial Accounting.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
Prepares relevant tax calculations, schedules, and journal entries
Prepares Financial Statement disclosure on tax related
Prepares OGC Group Payments to Government report
Prepare Annual Report Form including monthly tax payment information update
Provide Income Tax calculation for BIR compliance and financial report
Leads tax refund process like VAT refund, monitor and coordinate refund requirements and work closely with the consultant to ensure timely filing of refund
Handles tax audits, particularly BIR audits
Prepares reports like annual ESTMA and other tax compliances
About you

Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
With 3 years of experience in handling tax audits, reporting, and compliances
Experience in handling PLC tax reporting and compliances
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Keen attention to detail

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures
Drive for continuous improvement and innovation
