Accountabilities of this role includes collection of tax-related information, reporting to taxation authorities at the federal, state, and local levels in a timely manner, and advising management on the tax impact of various corporate strategies. Roles and Responsibilities Preparation of BAS, IAS, tax planning, and end-of-year tax work for the client base Create tax data collection systems, and maintain the corporate tax database Coordinate audits by various taxation authorities Research and correct process errors that caused incorrect tax filings Negotiate with tax authorities over tax payment issues Offer support and guidance during audits Evaluate tax regulations and suggest policies that diminish the tax burden This role will have no SMSF component Required Experience Xero expert Experience working for an Australian accounting firm via a BPO Experience preparing year-end work papers and tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals Experience preparing BAS and IAS Experience with bookkeeping and payroll is welcomed, but this role will have minimal actual bookkeeping work Minimum Qualification CPA A Successful Candidate must have Excellent written and spoken English Experience dealing with the ATO via phone is welcomed, but not essential Experience dealing with AU clients via email/phone is welcomed but will be a minimal component of this role ShoreXtra Perks Free barista-style coffee Free parking and jeepney services Highly engaged team Unlimited potential for growth Challenging role Fun and family-oriented working environment
