Duties and Responsibilities:
Accenture in the Philippines is currently looking for Country Controllership Specialist who will be responsible in performing the following day-to-day tasks:
Delivery Excellence
Supervise end to end tax returns preparation and filing. End to end preparation of Global Tax packages such as Tax Forecasts, Year end Tax packages, and Tax True Ups
Proactively prepare various schedules and working papers for BIR audits
Assist in the review process of ITR, EWT, FEW, WTW, FBT and others
Monitor and ensures that monthly tax reconciling items are booked on a timely manner.
Assist during the reconciliation of Compensation tax for the current year (returns vs. books) pre-requisite for year-end alpha listing for employees.
Supervise LGU tax/permits processing (Annual/Quarterly (PEZA 2% TAX)/ as needed - for closed/new Accenture sites)
Oversee file maintenance for tax returns filed and applicable working papers (stored in GBSN Tax designated shared drive). Coordinate with Records Management (RM) for e-data archiving.
Review/certify correctness of BIR form 2306 on a monthly basis (Foreign Vendor and Trading partners)
Mentor, monitor and prepare performance appraisals for his/her direct reports.
Others - adhoc reports, POC for projects/initiatives.
Stakeholder Management and Business Relationship
Understands the business and Finance agenda and translates that into Finance actions/priorities
Point of contact for escalations, issues and concerns related to OTC from different stakeholders
Participates in monthly service management reviews with key stakeholders
Assist in facilitation of requests for services that are beyond the standard services
Responsible for managing SLAs and relationships with other groups
Develop and maintain working relationships with entity, workgroup and geographic key contacts
People Development
Assist in building strong succession plan for self, and BCP for team
Assists and monitors team members with their assigned work
Demonstrate effective teaming skills both within and outside of the team
Encourage team members to share knowledge and to leverage proven best practices
Participate in people development activities outside of the team (e.g. community activities, recruiting, and teaching)
Qualifications
BS Accountancy graduate, CPA required
4-5 years of solid tax experience either from audit firms or multinational companies.
At least 2 years in the team lead role/tax supervisor
Had worked in an extensive ERP environment.
Knowledge in Tax Regulations, navigating Lex Libris
Good business writing and people management skills
Tax experience in a BPO setting
