Duties and Responsibilities:
• Predominantly preparation of financial statements and tax returns
• Collate, review and summarise client information
• Identify and act on anomalies in client records
• Contribute to development of improved internal processes i.e. help improve procedures
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in Accountancy
• At least 3 but preferably 5 years of experience working in an Australian Tax setting
• Ideally with background working for a professional services firm that provides services to small business
• Experience in preparing Financial Statements, Tax returns and Business Activity Statements for Sole Traders, Partnerships, Companies and Trusts
• Proven experience in key areas of tax Australian Tax legislation including Division 7A, Part 4A, Personal Services Income
• Trust and Superannuation experience
• Experience with taxable payments reporting and workers compensation is highly desirable
• Proven ability to identify tax planning issues and opportunities for clients
• Proven ability to resolve and investigate issues
• Proficient in MS Office and Google Apps
• Strong Excel skills
• Experience with XERO and MYOB AO Tax practice management software
• Experience with MYOB Essentials from a client records perspective
• Experience in MYOB Accountright from a client records perspective and MYOB AO Classic general ledger highly desirable
• XERO certification is highly desirable
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Can work with minimal supervision and has initiatives
• Must be willing to work in Clark, Pampanga
