Responsibilities:
Installs, configures, and maintains computer and network operating system and application software, as appropriate;
Provides on-call support for computer/network systems and guide them through problem-solving process. Both for Office and Vessel
Serves as primary point of contact in implementation of office LAN network architectures including standards for wiring, Wi-Fi equipment and switches
Negotiates exact technical requirements with vendors; establishes contracts and check technical contract specifications and proposals. Liaison with vendors; reviews vendor products, and coordinates and facilitates vendor interviews and presentations
Troubleshoots and resolves network communication, applications and system problems
Visit the vessel to install and setup computer systems and establish LAN connection via Internet. Configure email and maintenance of hardware and software that may be assigned from time to time
Maintains a broad knowledge of current and emerging state-of-the-art computer/network systems technologies, architectures, and products
Performs miscellaneous & technical backup IT-related duties as assigned
Education and Qualification
Candidate must be a Bachelor/College Degree in Computer Engineering/Computer Science/Information Technology
Proficient in MS Windows Server, Active Directory, Office365, Networking (LAN/WAN) and firewall
Highly motivated, structured and quality driven individual who in parallel possesses strong initiative, excellent interpersonal skills
At least 3 years of working experience in IT with full SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) experience
Highly skilled in troubleshooting computer hardware and software
Knowledgeable in VMware systems, MS Windows Server, Active Directory, Firewall setup and VLAN configuration
