As a System Engineer (HW) in the Application Solutions Team in the Industrial, Consumer and Multi Market Platforms Business Group, you will be responsible for developing and executing system level embedded projects for the broad base of ADI's industrial customers. You will be responsible for creating system level block diagrams, developing embedded system code, and deploying proof of concept embedded projects to develop a working solution for proof of concept demonstrations as well as customer adoption.
In this dynamic new position, you will work with ADI's core technologies (power, precision signal chain, converters, RF, and embedded DSPs) and develop embedded projects with ADI technology and partner HW / SW platforms. You need to have a strong technical knowledge in HW system design as well as good understanding of software, firmware, drivers, and various ADI software tools. This position has a lot of room to grow and learn; you will be hands on with projects you work on and by working with other members of the team will drive projects to completion.
Responsibilities
Build, prototype and verify hardware and software systems for embedded applications with internal and external ADI partners for the broad base of industrial customers
Create and manage documentation for active projects
Develop and maintain HW design files (schematic, layout, gerbers etc) for projects
Test and debug HW systems
Participate in design reviews
Develop tools and techniques for testing and verification
Collaborate with SW system engineers to bring up, validate and characterize systems
Requirements
BSEE / MSEE in electrical engineering or computer science
6-10 years experience in designing, maintaining, and bringing up embedded HW systems
Excellent proficiency in schematic and layout design tools
Demonstrated experience in system level analog and digital circuit design
Basic knowledge of C, C++, and assembly
Good grasp of testing and debugging techniques and protocols
Working knowledge of Linux and version control systems
Working knowledge of interface and network protocols
High degree of familiarity with logic analyzers, digital oscilloscope etc.
Great verbal and written communication skills
