WHAT IS A SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR Our awesome client, a leading software and services to utilities based in Australia is looking for a system administrator to be part of their technical team. .You will demonstrate a level of understanding of 'The Cloud' including the different types available to an organization and how it can be deployed, scaled and used. You will be provided training and hands on experience with current 'Cloud' technology from AWS and Azure, including involvement at a design, implementation and support level. This role works closely with all areas of the business to ensure high availability of all critical systems and applications. The ability to work autonomously, in a methodical, analytical manner, to deadlines is essential. This is a challenging position where every day will be different. Anyone with Microsoft certification as a MCP or MCDST will be highly regarded as too someone with VMware VCP or AWS Certified Solutions Architect. WHAT WILL BE YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Provide guidance and training or manage structured training to develop the DevOps Team to take on all and most of the functions of this role, shifting from a hands-on role to an administration/management of this project. WSUS Configuration, Maintenance & Management Active Directory Management (Local and Remote) Software Deployment & Configuration (Servers, Testing, Production Security (Firewalls and Anti-Virus) Phone System (Cloud PABX and Physical PABX) Infrastructure Implementation (Physical, Virtual & Cloud) Infrastructure Management (Physical, Virtual & Cloud) Application Deployment Application Management Monitoring (Infrastructure, Servers, Applications) Reporting (Infrastructure, Servers, Applications) Environment Security (Infrastructure, Servers, Applications) Perimeter Security (Firewalls, IPS, RED, DLP and Anti-Virus) Maintenance (Backups, Updates, Security, Patches) General Software Deployment, Configuration & Support (Physical, Virtual & Cloud) Network Maintenance Attend and partake in forums, user groups, seminars, conferences, etc WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR Minimum 5 years in a previous System Administrator support role Minimum 5 years supporting Windows Server 2012 & 2016 Minimum 3 years advanced experience with SQL Server 2014 & 2016 Minimum 5 years' experience with Windows networking Minimum 3 years' experience configuring and managing Active Directory Minimum 3 years supporting business critical software applications Desired Experience Exposure to AWS & Azure an advantage Exposure to containerization an advantage Experience configuring and managing Office 365 (AzureAD) Exposure to development languages (C#, HTML, JavaScript, PowerShell) Desired Experience Exposure to AWS & Azure an advantage Exposure to containerization an advantage Experience configuring and managing Office 365 (AzureAD) Exposure to development languages (C#, HTML, JavaScript, PowerShell)
