This role requires purchasing products to fill gaps or shortages in our supply chain. Primary focus will be on raw material electronic components, but sub-assemblies and finished goods could also be in scope. Purchases will systematically involve converting SAP requisitions into purchase orders per sourcing and purchasing requirements for designated goods to secure quality materials as soon as needed at the best possible price.
This role can be performed remotely or from our Manila office
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Process order requests and update management on status of orders.
Execute rapid ad-hoc purchases from manufacturers, distributors, and brokers.
Partner with sourcing and commodity management on purchasing strategies supporting our Product Life Cycle Management approved vendor list while minimizing cost.
Maintain standard costs for raw material with accounting in our SAP system to avoid unintended purchase price variance.
Arrange transport of goods and track orders to ensure timely delivery.
Upon goods receipt, work with order management and order fill to sell the goods purchased to suppliers in our supply chain.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education Requirement: AA Degree or higher. * Proficiency: MS Office & SAP ERP Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, understanding basic MRP calculations/product lifecycle data.
Experience: Extensive experience with electronic component searches through distributors and brokers. Use of third parties to execute electronic component testing to verify authenticity, age, quality, and solderability to printed circuit boards.
Specific skills: Interpersonal, new supplier on boarding, and supplier negotiation.
Personal characteristics: Must be assertive, a self-starter, and welcome challenge.
Electronic manufacturing environment experience required.
