The Role :
The supply chain analyst is expected to have at least 5 years of experience in supply chain logistics and must have exceptional analytical and organizational skills. The candidate is expected to support Advisory Services projects where a Senior Consultant is acting as the lead and the engagement requires strong analytical support to develop a data-driven strategy. The candidate must be detail oriented and have a strong affinity to producing quality work and is diligent about quality in general. The candidate for this job is a forward thinker who can predict multiple outcomes of a given supply chain process and ensure efficiency by creating a analytics that support strategies related to transportation optimization. He or she must have an understanding of both the transportation and financial aspects of a typical supply chain and be able to manipulate and transform data into information and recommendations.
More specifically, the Supply Chain Analyst would have experience in the following areas:
Transportation Logistics (carriers, contracts (pricing and service), modes of transportation)
Financial influencers as it pertains to transportation costs
Ability to transform data to information and support quantitative rationale for change
Understand data and data governance from a transportation logistics perspective
Have a keen understanding of value drivers that improve overall ROI for transportation spend
Spend category (modal expertise) (Ocean, Air Freight, Rail, Parcel, Brokerage, etc.)
Experienced in render visualizations that promote a bias for action
Detail oriented and quality oriented and methodical about work product
The expectation is the candidate applies a quantitative approach to making recommendations and recognizing patterns in data to assist with developing spend management strategies. The candidate should be proficient in the following tools:
MS Excel
MS Power Point
Tableau/Other BI tools
SQL
The candidate must be able to assimilate facts and render recommendations using dashboards, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other tools.
Required Qualifications
- 6 Years Supply Chain or Transportation Related Experience Preferred
- Graduate of a 4 or 5year bachelor degree courses
- Strong analytical skills
- Mastery in Excel and Skilled Word, and PowerPoint, SQL
- Strong organizational, collaboration, analytics skills
- Advanced interpersonal skills and ability to work well across cross-functional organization
