MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR
I. Basic Purpose of the Job
Responsible for meeting the targeted output, yield, quality and OTD on a daily, weekly and monthly basis through balanced work execution and decision between meeting target output goal and maintenance of machine efficiency, and executing sustaining functions using statistical tools and techniques.
Responsible for the required process control in area of responsibility. Manage the total production operations in assigned area, supervising a number of employees such as Production Operators.
II. Reporting Relationship
The position reports to the Assembly Manufacturing Section Manager
III. Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Responsible for the overall performance of a shift or area concerning Manufacturing indices such as Sales, Cycle-time, On-time delivery, Quality, Yield, Customer return or feedback, New process or product qualification, Volume expansion, Facilities lay-out, and total area cost.
· Prepares daily work plan and coordinates such plan to manufacturing specialist.
· Conducts meetings and updates manufacturing specialist and subordinates on target
· goals and business situations.
· Updates management on line problems and recommended action plans.
· Conducts Daily work review and executes agreed plan to meet goals.
· Reports to management regarding line problems and corrective actions taken, project status, long-term plans through reviews.
· Coordinates with other groups such as Maintenance, Planning, Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, QA, Facilities and Materials regarding Manufacturing support.
· Ensures all customer requirements are served as per agreed time.
· Ensures 100% participation and compliance to all OSPI programs and improvement activities towards customer satisfaction.
· Performs other administrative functions such as people skill enhancement by providing necessary training, recognition and serves disciplinary actions if required.
· Recognizes outstanding performances of subordinates and recommends for recognition program.
· Actively participates on all TPM/SGA programs.

· Education
· B.S. in Engineering Degree (ECE, ME, EE or IE)
· Experience
· At least 3 years experience as manufacturing supervisor in a semiconductor company
· Skills
· The candidate must also have strong interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills, and be able to work effectively in a self-directed environment.
