Responsible for achieving mining operational targets to ensure the operation is delivered safely and successfully
Organizing, planning, resourcing, and managing mining activities, and ensuring the health, safety, training, environmental and quality systems positively comply
Assisting with delivering cost efficiencies, understating commercial requirements of the operation, and providing leadership
Coordinate different disciplines to deliver efficient and safe production
Establish production targets and monitor their achievement and address issues as they arise
Assist the Mining Manager with the safe delivery of the underground operation
Review data such as mine plans, survey reports, and geological records and meet with engineering, maintenance, and supervisory section to plan the mine production
Develop and execute the overall strategy for mine production based on input from other sections
Identify options and implement actions to adopt best practices for mine production
Understand operating plans detailing documentation, administration, financial, and commercial processes
Lead the Production Mining teams clearly and professionally ensuring that each individual team member has an understanding of their daily, weekly, and monthly tasks
Assign tasks to a person that is trained, competent, and authorized to perform the tasks
Ensure that training is provided to meet the current and future needs of the mine
Qualifications

Licensed Mining/Civil Engineer
Minimum 3 years of Mining management / Superintendent experience
With 7 years of experience in an underground mining environment
With a valid Professional Driver's license

Develops and fosters relationships across cultures and with key internal and external stakeholders
Proven ability to deliver against strategic mine plans, execute those plans, and deliver significant results
In-depth technical experience in metalliferous mining
