About the role
The Superintendent - Maintenance Execution oversees regional maintenance management execution (incl strategic maintenance, reliability engineering, spares management, & systems) across the region/site, providing fit for purpose equipment & lowest total ownership cost to Orica throughout their lifecycle whilst improving overall availability
What you will be doing
Duties
Focus on engineering and technical integrity (design, construction, installation, maintenance) and the technical competencies for his area
Responsible for the implementation of predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance of plant facilities and equipment
Performs root cause analyses and investigations and implement corrective & preventive actions
Supervises a group of process and utility electricians who conducts predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance of plant facilities & equipment
Must, within his areas of expertise in electrical systems:
 Maintain knowledge of national / international / industry engineering standards and codes relevant to the plant and equipment.
 Acquire and maintain knowledge of Orica specific SHES Standards and Procedures relevant to the plant and equipment.
 Incorporate Responsible Engineer activities in annual performance agreement.
 Maintain a working understanding of RE responsibilities and undertake the activities required to meet those responsibilities.
 Complete activities to allow line management to comply with the requirements of the Orica SHES Management System.
 Prevent a conflict of interest by ensuring there is a separation between an individual's daily operational duties and their role as RE i.e.:
-REs shall not verify their own work,
-REs should not allow plant or equipment they oversee to be compromised or degraded for reasons of operational expediency.
 Engage with the relevant Expert Panel when dealing with issues relating to:
-Basis of Safety (BOS)
-Process design
-Process technology
-Product design
 Maintain networks, both internally and externally, to have knowledge of incidents, technical developments, regulatory requirements and emerging issues in their area of appointment and raise these with line management as required.
 Consult and / or delegate to functional specialists or expert engineers where they do not have sufficient knowledge of a discipline or of highly specialised systems to effectively complete the RE duties.
 Audit the site within their area of appointment against the requirements of the Orica SHES Standards and Procedures and local regulations on an agreed frequency with line management and provide the results of the audit with recommended improvement actions to line management for implementation.
What you will bring
Registered Electrical Engineer in the Philippines
Hold relevant tertiary engineering qualifications that would meet the eligibility requirements for full membership in a professional association.
Have a minimum of 3 years experience within the relevant industry sector and preferably a minimum of 6 years experience following graduation.
Proven experience in high and low voltage installations and maintenance, and programmable logic controls
