The Opportunity
 
We're seeking an experienced Amazon & Walmart Advertising Subject Matter Expert (SME) to serve as the senior authority for marketplace advertising across both platforms. This role blends hands-on campaign execution with strategic leadership to drive best-in-class performance, operational excellence, and consistent advertising methodologies across all accounts. The SME will actively manage campaigns while mentoring and guiding Advertising Specialists, owning platform expertise, tool adoption (including Trellis), performance standards, and the continuous evolution of internal best practices.
 
Core Responsibilities
 
Platform & Technical Leadership
Serve as the in-house authority on Amazon Ads and Walmart Connect
Define and maintain best practices for campaign structure, bidding, targeting, and scaling
Stay ahead of platform changes, betas, and new features
Translate platform updates into actionable internal guidance
Hands-On Campaign Management
Personally manage and optimize a portfolio of high-impact or complex accounts
Build and refine full-funnel strategies across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and Walmart equivalents
Execute keyword mining, search term analysis, bid optimization, and testing frameworks
Troubleshoot underperforming accounts and develop turnaround strategies
Team Oversight & Enablement
Provide technical guidance and QA for Amazon & Walmart Advertising Specialists
Review account structures, optimizations, and reports for accuracy and strategic alignment
Create documentation, playbooks, and SOPs
Lead internal trainings, office hours, and upskilling initiatives
Act as the escalation point for complex account challenges
Reporting, Insights & Strategy
Own performance frameworks and reporting standards
Deliver high-level insights and recommendations to the Chief Client Officer
Ensure data integrity, clarity, and consistency across teams
Translate performance trends into strategic decisions
Sends reports to clients, directly copying the account executive on the email. These reports include a standard overview of the account and next steps as well as the Trellis summary report.
Tooling & Automation Ownership (Including Trellis)
Own Trellis adoption, usage standards, and optimization workflows
Identify opportunities for automation, rules-based bidding, and scaling
Train team members on Trellis and related tools
Evaluate and recommend additional ad tech solutions
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with Client Services, Creative, and Ops to align advertising with brand and inventory realities
Provide input on listing optimization, pricing strategy, and promotional planning
Support client-facing teams with technical explanations and strategic narratives
Support Account Executives on client calls as needed to review advertising performance.
Qualifications
3+years of experience managing Amazon and/or Walmart marketplace advertising
Deep understanding of retail media metrics: ACOS, TACOS, ROAS, CVR, CTR, contribution margin, and incrementality
Proven experience scaling and optimizing large or complex accounts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in training, mentoring, or leading others
Comfort with automation tools and advanced workflows
Ability to learn and master new software quickly (including Trellis)
Exceptional attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Direct experience with Trellis or similar platforms (Pacvue, Skai, Perpetua, etc.)
Experience in agency or multi-brand environments
Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency
Experience presenting performance insights to executives or clients

Hybrid - 3 days onsite (Cebu IT Park); 2 days WFH
Salary: Php50,000 - Php70,000 (depending on experience and qualifications)
