WHAT IS THIS ROLE ABOUT - PURPOSE
Lead maintenance team in Make Pack equipment subassemblies and repair, involve in improvement activities of cigarette maker, packer and auxiliary equipment to maintain and sustain targeted machine efficiency. Provide support to ensure that the team delivers, monitoring and resolving any issues to sustain uninterupted Make Pack equipment operation and production in order to meet production KPI targets and quality standards. Assist in team development by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards whilst fostering a culture of working safely during equipment maintenance, subassembly rebuilding and workshop operation.
WHAT WILL YOU DO - RESPONSIBILITIES
Subassembly Rebuilding
Set assembly priorities based on component availability, machine requirements and portfolio, criticality, etc. within cost budget and by machine operation needs.
Ensure availability and readiness of subassemblies to meet preventive & corrective maintenance requirements.
Perform quality inspection of the rebuilt subassembly to ensure mechanics conform with assembly procedures and standards.
Subassembly Workshop Organization
Ensure workshop equipment are functioning properly, in good working condition and is within calibration date; monitor and maintain all safety equipment and tools.
Ensure full adherence to 5S practices at all times in subassembly workshop.
Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the workshop.
Production Support
Support production team by involving in major breakdowns troubleshooting as/when it happens. Major breakdowns to be analyzed accordingly and to propose appropriate preventive actions and improvement plan.
Actively participating in various continuous improvement activities to contribute to production key performance indicators and provide recommendations aimed to improve production process, product quality and machine efficiency.
Training & Coaching
Coach mechanics in area of expertise, decipher blueprints and assembly instructions.
Exchange and share technical knowledge, skills and techniques to new employees, trainees and/or any other personnels assigned by line manager.
Consistently promote high standards through leading by example so that each member of the team understands the standards and behaviours expectation.
Maintenance Planning
Participate in regular maintenance planning and scheduling meetings with production planning and production operation to align on available opportunity windows to carry out maintenance activities within the allocated duration.
Work positively with support functions to fully define the processes/procedures/controls relevant to team activities.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR - REQUIREMENTS
Minimum 5 years of experience in similar capacity in a Tobacco/Cigarette manufacturing environment. Knowledge in cigarette maker/packer process and equipment will be an added advantage.
Knowledge in 5S3R & Kaizen
Diploma/Degree in technical or relevant experience in technical field.
Good command in English language.
Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Good knowledge in SAP.
