Manage and lead for Continental R&D North America, the government funding acquisition services, through activities such as acquisition of projects, PPP consultancy, networking and liaisons in an efficient manner that represent additional business opportunities for the Company. Being able to detect strategic project opportunities that might be susceptible to government grants, helping potentiate the positive impact of them in the organization.
Main responsibilities:
Monitor, research and communicate funding opportunities from government institutions in Mexico, United States and Canada.
Manage government funding programs platforms from Mexico, United States or Canada. Follow up the timely and active registration of them.
Full responsibility in the administration of Government Funded Projects (Generation of timely and competitive proposals and reports, follow-up meetings, documentation and closure).
Ensure the proper use of the different program ́s received funds.
Follow up the proper accomplishment of the technical and administrative audits, internal or the government ones.
Generation of reports and indicators of the status of projects and appropriately communicate them to Managers, R&D and PPP Directives.
Government Affairs (regarding Funding Programs) (Federal, State, Local).
Development and implementation of lobbying strategies and construction of an internal/external contact network for the detection of opportunities.
Potential funding projects strategic planning together with Mexico and NA R&D Business Units.
Lead technology road mapping workshops with the BUs to detect funding opportunities.
Provide the BU s consulting in the funded project definition ideas.
Ensure a reliable and an appropriate legal support for funded projects, as well as a timely follow-up on topics like cooperative agreements, signatures, etc. for NA.

Degree on International Relations or Business Finance or similar. Industrial or Innovation Engineering. Certified / graduated.
2-3 years experience in project management and funding acquisition.
Negotiation and networking experience and ease.
At least 1 year experience in the process of funding acquisition, administration and closure of government incentives.
Desirable: International experience in jobs or professional practice in he English language. Desirable experience in handling business with international clients, general/overall business culture in other countries (North American markets).
