POSITION : STOCK CLERK
DEPARTMENT : FOOD & BEVERAGE
REPORT TO : SUPERVISOR / PURCHASER / MANAGER
BASIC FUNCTIONS
Ensures availability of restaurant supplies from food, beverage, ingredients, condiments and other operating supplies through proper inventory and tracking, establishing par levels, timely requisition, and creating effective and efficient inventory procedures. Closely coordinates with the Kitchen Head and Purchaser to ensure proper monitoring and requisition of stocks.
PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Receives, stores, and issues equipment / wares, operating supplies, food, beverage,
and creates and updates stock records. Counts, sorts, or weighs incoming articles to verify
receipt of items on requisition or invoices, and verifies conformance to specifications.
2. Stores articles in bins, on floor, or on shelves, according to identifying information, such as
style, size, or type of material. Observes FIFO and LILO in stock rotation.
3. Issues and records supplies from stock.
4. Prepares periodic, special, and or perpetual inventory of stock.
5. Prepares requisition for supplies ( food and beverage ) based on inventory and from market list.
6. Compiles reports on use of stock handling equipment, adjustments of inventory counts and
stock records, spoilage of or damage to stock, location changes, and refusal of shipments.
7. Maintains and updates records.
8. Reports discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
9. Records and monitors perishable items to prevent spoilages. Records spoilages and indicates
reason/s thereof.
10. Develop and or improve inventory management procedures.
11. Compiles balance, price and cost reports.
12. Assists operations as needed.
13. Extends cooperation among colleagues and promotes teamwork in the workplace.
13. Knows what to do in case of an emergency ( earthquake, fire, injury ).
14. Performs and other duties as may be assigned by the Management.
