Duties and Responsibilities are the following but may not be limited to:
Represent the Company in a professional and courteous manner in all interactions.
Process and route patient information to the appropriate department or individual(s) in the Company.
Establish and maintain accurate benefit records.
Communicate patient insurance coverage information necessary to schedule/bill services.
Discuss benefit information and coverage requirements with other departments as needed.
Obtain pre-authorizations as required for benefit coverage of services.
Communicate with collections department to ensure proper billing to insurance companies, contracts, other third-party payers and client/patients for all products and services delivered.
Review patient information for accuracy to ensure proper billing; notify appropriate department or individual(s) about required corrections as necessary.
Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
Participate in Company committees and programs when requested.
Willing to work on a graveyard shift.
Willing to work onsite permanently (Oakridge Business Center, AS Fortuna, Banilad, Mandaue City)
Perform other duties as assigned by Client and Company.
Minimum Qualifications
At least 1 year solid experience in Benefit Verification (HME experience preferred).
Insurance reimbursement knowledge and health insurance billing experience.
Effective interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills in speaking and writing.
Organizational skills sufficient to maintain consistently accurate records.
Moderate computer skills that include Microsoft 365, Word processing, spreadsheets, and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
