Brief Job Description:
The Product Applications Engineer under the Multi-Market Power East organization will be responsible for the design, development and evaluation of power systems and solutions for broad market customer applications. He/she will also be responsible in the product definition and creation of reference designs based on market demand. He/she will be working with the best power electronics applications engineers and professionals in the industry, developing and supporting state of the art circuit designs.
Qualifications:
Graduate of BS Electronics or Electrical Engineering. (MS Engineering degree is an advantage.)
5+ years of industry experience on Power Electronics with strong analog and digital electronics foundation.
Strong foundation on low dropout linear regulators and on different switched mode power supply topologies is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills with systematic approach in solving complex problems.
Knowledge in handling and using wide range of bench equipment is preferrable (power supplies, electronic loads, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, multimeters, etc.).
Familiarity with circuit simulator tools is preferrable (such as LTSpice, Simplis/Simetrix, MATLAB, Simulink).
Familiarity with CAD tools for PCB development is an advantage (e.g., Cadence Allegro, PADS or any other equivalent PCB design tool).
Customer facing experience for Voltage Supervisors or Power Products is an advantage.
