Position Overview:
The Network Administrator is responsible for installation, maintenance and support of network and communication infrastructure to ensure the operation of global networks in order to provide performance and availability for its users, such as staff, customers and suppliers.

As an integral member of the Global Network Operations Team, your role encompasses the setup, configuration, deployment, and management of communication networks across various regions.
Involves ensuring consistent and effective communication functions, acting as a senior-level resource to support other groups, leading network-related project calls, and upholding high standards of security and confidentiality.
Your responsibilities extend to providing Level 3 escalation support for critical issues, VIP service requests, ongoing projects, and vendor coordination. You are essential to addressing high-severity issues efficiently and effectively.
You are tasked with leading and managing global sustainment operations projects and technological initiatives, ensuring that delegated projects meet their milestones promptly and maintaining excellent communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
Your role also involves adhering to and assisting in the Change Management Process, particularly in supporting Network Managers during Change Management Technical Peer Reviews.
You will offer support during Global Security Audits, acting as the primary point of contact for the Network Team in auditor interviews and evidence collection.
A critical part of your role includes maintaining our Software Compliance Strategy, ensuring that IOS and PANOS are regularly updated according to identified vulnerabilities and vendor recommendations. This position requires a proactive approach to network management and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards in network operations.
Required skills + qualities (technical):
Bachelor in Systems, Computer Science or equivalent
Network Certification Cisco CCNA, CCNP (mandatory), CCDA (desirable)
Palo Alto PCNSA (mandatory), PCNSE (desirable)
Advanced in managing data and security networking equipment, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
Intermediate knowledge and experience with automation (Ansible and Python)
Advanced knowledge and experience with OSPF and BGP dynamic routing protocols.
Advanced knowledge and experience working with PBRs and VRFs.
Advanced skills in troubleshooting network and security issues
Advanced skills in generating and analyzing packet capture.
Advanced knowledge and experience working with NGFW (Palo Alto, Checkpoint, or Fortinet)
Advanced Knowledge in Network Monitoring Tools such as Thousand Eyes, Logic Monitor, Meraki Dashboard, or DNA Center.
Intermediate knowledge in managing WIFI Infrastructure (Cisco or Meraki or equivalent)
Basic knowledge of Cloud Technologies such as GCP and AWS.
Basic knowledge of QoS and Traffic shaping.
Proficient in creating Low and High-level network diagrams
Amenable to working on a Hybrid set-up at TELUS Araneta site.
