Role Overview
This position manages multi value stream, multi-ERP systems with a team of experienced professionals from materials planning.
He/she ensures performance of critical KPI's, which includes, system data integrity, inventory management, kit fill rate, clear to build, and cost management.
Leads and develops a team of professionals to ensure compliance to the KPI's.
Understands forecasting and capacity constraints utilizing monthly Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning. Sets objectives and guides others on execution/approach for achievement of operational goals.
This is a collaborative role with interactions and coordination with Operations, Planning & Scheduling, Supply Chain. Warehouse & logistics, Quality, Engineering, IT, Product Development and 3PL partners. This improvement activities using CORE operating systems.
Candidate must be able to effectively communicate within an IPT environment, utilizing string process & system troubleshooting skills and extensive understanding of Material Requirements Planning in a manufacturing environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Material Planning, PFEP, Inventory strategy, master scheduling, SIOP, and master data planning
Lead the implementation of inventory control and ensures monthly and yearly inventory goals are achieved.
Set plans and execute on short to medium term strategies and projects (up to 2 years) for materials management functional areas
Integrate the flow of materials and information to optimize operational objectives through training and strategic projects.
Support and provide inputs on processes to optimize SIOP, capacity planning, production and inventory planning that is aligned with applicable policies and established goals for the area.
Ensure material for shop is ordered to meet future demand identified in the SIOP process and own Kit Fill Rate and Clear To Build KPIs.
Lead monthly and yearly financial forecast process with support of site controller and operation, and Supply Chain leaders.
Engage and collaborate on materials projects and initiatives across the site
Directly/indirectly lead planning & scheduling, warehouse, and logistics team
Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
Engage in key projects, including product transfers, new product introductions, business systems applications, supplier integration, logistics or other related projects within scope of work.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized university and 8 years of relevant experience or
Advanced Degree and 5 years of relevant experience
Experience using prominent ERP (preferred SAP, JD Edwards), Tableau, Excel, and programming is a plus.
Experience working with SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning)
APICS (CPIM) certification (preferred) Experience in Aerospace or Automotive or Electronics industries (preferred) • Advance knowledge and application of lean/materials principles (Lean Six Sigma)
Results oriented, with a strong bias for action and results
Change Management leadership, certification, training and experience
Knowledge:
Conversant with statistical, continuous improvement, and problem-solving tools and techniques
Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (AS 9100)
Strong operational KPIs and basic financial KPIs
Skills:
Ability to lead and manage people
Ability to apply tools for practical problem solving and improvement initiatives
Good verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills
Apply logical and scientific thinking principles to solve wide range of intellectual, organizational, and practical problems
Comfortable using digital tools and analyzing large amounts of data related to material ordering and operations data
