Job Summary The role is accountable for IT Delivery Center Finance Controllership within Manulife Business Processing Services ("MBPS") and for the maintenance of trust with our customers. Overview MBPS is officially registered as Manulife Data Services, Inc. but with an official trade name of Manulife Business Processing Services. MBPS is a Global Shared Service Centre providing Operations Administration, Finance & Investments, Contact Center, Claims, New Business and Underwriting, Actuarial, Legal & Compliance and Digital Information Services to Manulife Companies around the world. Manulife Asset Management also provides investment management services to affiliates' retail clients through product offerings of Manulife and John Hancock. The Division manages a broad range of investments including public and private bonds, public and private equities, mortgages, real estate, oil and gas, infrastructure, timberland, farmland and asset allocation strategies. The Division has physical presence in key international financial centers, including the United States, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, the United Kingdom, and throughout South East Asia. Role and Responsibilities Reporting directly to Finance Team Leader, the Sr. Financial Analyst-FP&A is primarily accountable for the financial planning activities and controllership through timely and accurate service delivery. Responsibilities include the following: Financial Planning & Analysis - Provides financial insights based on multiple expense reports to provide MITDC-managed financial performance (i.e. Philippines, Vietnam and Hong Kong) - Prepares forecasts and budget (i.e. cash flow and P&L) - Provides insightful analyses of revenue, expense, cost per seat, cost per FTE and other financial and non-financial KPIs aimed at improving entity-wide performance Reporting Prepares management reports focusing on financial aspects of IT Delivery Center operations through monthly reports, regular business reviews, ad-hoc presentations et al Support the preparation and analysis of revenue results against target and projection for management and business units (BUs) heads use in assessing operations and making business decisions to achieve the organization's goals and objectives Work with immediate supervisor/manager in other aspects of Finance as deemed necessary. Qualifications University Business Degree and/or recognized accounting designation CPA or CMA preferred. 5+ years of progressive responsibility within accounting/finance experience in Philippine accounting and tax preferred Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis principles such as cost per FTE, cost per seat, rate card, transfer pricing, manpower efficiency index, cost-benefit-analysis and the like Experience working with senior management teams (stakeholder management requiring persuasion / influencing skills Strong technical accounting, financial and management reporting, analysis, forecasting and expense management skills with a solid understanding of the business environment Advanced Excel skills and experience with database applications VBA knowledge an advantage Intermediate to advanced knowledge of interpreting financial data and reports including profit and loss statements, balance sheet, cash flow statement. Experience using enterprise planning tools (Lawson, Cognos, Hyperion, Business Objects, etc) Strong oral/written communication skills required to interact with senior officers and representatives from other Divisions and functional departments Competencies: Strong relationship management skills in building productive alliances across matrix organizations. Experience in partnering with a diverse team located in multiple locations and time zones. Demonstrates strong flexibility in the face of ambiguous situations, shifting demands, and challenging work environments. Uses diplomacy and tact to resolve difficult situations.
