General Description: The senior software engineer position develops high-quality innovative, in close coordination with the others on the engineering team. This is a software development role and reports directly to the team lead. Responsibilities include initial technical research, design, and development/coding of new software including revisions to the existing software on the .NET framework. Duties include creating high-level architectural specifications by which the engineering team will develop, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing systems/platforms. In addition, the individual will develop new enhancements and modify existing code in the proprietary portal platform. The role is also responsible for Duties and Job Responsibilities: Develop/code new software applications and updates to existing features in C# and VB.NET on the Microsoft .NET Framework Develop/code integration interfaces including Techgenies's REST API Design and create new application architectures Maintain system-wide technical knowledge of the software platform, grasping the functions of each component within the application and understanding interactions/dependencies among components Identify areas for platform innovations and improvements, overseeing the implementation Coordinate with project owners and clients on product development efforts and systems integration projects Liaise with CTO, system administrator, and engineering lead for strategic product architecture planning Collaborate well with local and remote engineering team members and Techgenies staff Practice secure coding standards Support other engineers through technical aspects of projects to completion Additional Qualifications: Agile technologies who have strong knowledge of current software development technologies 5+ years minimum experience A degree with major coursework in computer science or a related field is generally required. Have a strong working knowledge of related languages & technologies including C#, VB.NET, SQL, AJAX, Angular.JS, Angular, SPA, and similar.
