Position Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing the Revenue Planning and Analysis team and the Air and Trip Insurance Planning team. These groups are responsible for forecasting ticket revenues, providing senior management with analysis summarizing business conditions, maximizing revenue on our insurance programs, providing analysis that supports business decisions, and for developing recommendations and analyses for business improvement opportunities. The group also develops key presentation materials in advance of company's quarterly earnings calls and Board meetings.
In his/her role as leader of the Revenue Planning team, the Sr Director is responsible for developing the annual ticket revenue Plan and monthly forecasts and for providing regular and ad hoc reporting on all aspects of revenue and booking trends. A key responsibility is providing an assessment on revenue risks and opportunities and recommending revenue guidance to senior leadership while also working with the brands to finalize current numbers. The AVP will also provide clear corporate updates on our business and help drive improved forecasts and no "surprises" when it comes to how numbers roll up. He/she will also be a key contributor to the 5-year strategic plan.
In addition to providing analysis and a forecast outlook on Revenue, the Sr Director is also responsible for overseeing all analysis and forecasting related to customer deposits for the three brands.
In his/her role as the leader of the Air and Trip Insurance Planning team, the Sr Director is responsible for all aspects of managing our insurance programs including making decisions to maximize both the revenue and the structure of the programs. (This includes managing relationships with brokers, underwriters, marketing, sales, legal, trade support, and revenue management.) This role is both operational and analytical in nature and also requires focus on all regulatory aspects of the travel insurance industry.
In addition to managing his/her teams, the Sr Director is expected to be the key point of contact and expertise for corporate level revenue and booking trend knowledge, providing clear concise updates to senior leadership on an ongoing basis. He/she will also be the main author of all booking and revenue sections of earnings call scripts and messaging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Partner with the brands to develop the annual net ticket revenue plan and periodic forecasts for three brands, totaling over $8 billion annually. Prepare and present independent view of revenue, highlighting risks and opportunities. Provide recommendation on external yield guidance with supporting analysis.
Lead the assessment of business trends and provide business guidance and analysis in advance quarterly earnings calls and Board meetings. Analyses and presentations must be accurate and clearly presented in order to be used in external communications
Provide all messaging on revenue for earnings calls, and prepare the first draft of prepared remarks on revenue, customer deposits, and booking trends for the CFO's script
Provide leadership with summary of business trends at a high level, and at a more detailed level as requested. Ensure senior leadership is always aware of the current booking environment and forecast outlook. Prepare regular updates for the CFO to highlight risks and opportunities
Serve as subject matter expert for all aspects of net ticket revenue
Direct ongoing business analysis and financial analysis to identify and proactively address areas requiring attention, as well as to uncover new opportunities to generate additional revenue and drive efficiency gains particularly as it relates to our trip insurance programs
Oversee the Taxes and Fees process from a revenue management perspective. Ensure that we are charging each guest the correct amount, while not over-charging in any instance.
Work extensively with other departments and booking offices to support development of forecasts and ad hoc analyses.
Improve trip insurance revenue and margins, while successfully managing the regulatory and legal challenges associated with the program. Work with multiple underwriters to ensure the right fit for the program
Provide ongoing support, coaching, and guidance to the team of analysts, senior analysts, and managers
Financial Responsibilities:
Develops the NTR and other revenue forecasts which are in excess of $8 billion annually. Develops recommendation for external yield guidance. Manages trip insurance program which contributes over $70 million in annual revenue. Develops long term revenue plan for strategic purposes
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year University required
Master's of Business Administration (M.B.A.), or Master's degree (M. A.), or CPA preferred
10+ years work experience in financial analysis, planning, or revenue management
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong leadership skills.
Demonstrated understanding of revenue management and complex economic concepts
Strong financial skills
Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data
Superior skills in Excel, Powerpoint, and Hyperion
Ability to logically structure complex quantitative analyses, and use results to drive and implement business changes
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to business and technical audiences in both spoken and written formats.
